Seriously, it's like I've been waiting by my phone for you to call after our first date. We had that really great Saturday together, and I really thought we hit it off. I laughed at all your jokes and even showed a little more skin than usual. I was really warming up to you, and I know you felt it too. Lately, though, I've felt you freezing me out, and I want to know what I did to deserve this icy treatment.
So when I rolled over this morning and saw you glowing outside my window this morning, my heart began to race as I thought you'd come back for me. Like a knight in shining armor... only a big, burning ball of fiery heat in shining, blistering armor. Little did I know it was just a tease, a cruel, celestial trick. I ran out of my apartment hoping to be wrapped up in your warm embrace, only to be met by freezing gusts of wind: your cold shoulder.
What? You think you can sit up there in your ivory tower, all cold and aloof, while I pine to be sun-kissed? I've got news for you, buddy: I don't need you. That's right: heating blankets, tanning beds, jackets, gloves... I can find warmth and glow elsewhere. Don't go thinking you're so doggone irreplaceable, Sunshine!
Look, Sunshine, I got carried away. I lost my temper, and I'm sorry. I really think we can work this out; we've got a good thing going, you and I, and I don't want to see your light fade out of my life. And I don't want to hash this out over a blog. Why don't you come on down here? Let's get together and work this out. There's some serious heat between us, and you can't deny that. We've had our time apart, and I can honestly say that your absence has made my heart grow fonder. So no more game-playing, no more withholding, no more icy stares from across the horizon. Just me and you, Sunshine, basking in love and warmth from now until forever.
xoxo- Linds
